Component reels represent one of the largest material flows in SMD production. To ensure high throughput and maximum process reliability, goods receipt is largely automated. After delivery, the reels are unpacked, the delivery note is captured digitally, and each reel is scanned.
The reel data is transmitted directly to the ERP system, where a unique UID is assigned to each reel. This UID is applied via a label and enables continuous identification throughout the entire lifecycle. The process is completed by automated feeding and storage in the reel warehouse.

Material Locator – Central Management of All Materials and Transport Assets
Material Locator
The Material Locator provides complete, transparent management of all materials and transport assets across the entire shop floor. Operators always have a clear overview of the location, quantity, and status of all components—from parts and PCBs to consumables, as well as stencils, grippers, magazines, and KLT boxes. Thanks to unique identification (2D code/RFID), material movements can be precisely tracked and recorded automatically or via scanner. Intelligent filtering functions ensure that relevant information is quickly accessible, while storage prioritization enables optimal retrieval strategies.

The Carrier Manager coordinates the supply of the entire production environment with all required carriers—fully automated and always just in time. It manages all carriers across the shop floor, creates dynamic routes, and controls targeted transports via the Mobile Robot Manager to the Material Warehouse, Smart Buffers, production lines, and Dry Tower. This ensures that material flow remains efficient, reliable, and demand-driven at all times.
