Optimized Reel Supply with Pick-by-Light Support
Depending on the product, the placement machines consume a certain number of components and therefore component reels. These reels must be provided in the right quantity, at the right time, in the right place. Reel replenishment with pick-by-light support, based on a dynamic horizon, offers a continuous supply of reels, combined with visual guidance for the operator during the splicing process.
Efficient Replenishment with the M-Station Pick-by-Light
The M-Station Pick-by-Light installed close to the pick-and-place system serves as an interface for replenishment. With space for up to two reel magazines, it indicates the required component reel using an LED bar. Search and travel times are eliminated, and replenishment is demand-oriented. The transfer process can be carried out manually, by trolley or by autonomous robots.
