Interview with Markus Albrecht, Managing Director of EKRA
While you have been managing EKRA together with Jakob Szekeresch for just over a year and have now been the sole Managing Director since December 31, what insights or experiences have you gained from this time together?
Markus: The collaboration with Jakob Szekeresch was very successful. His extensive experience helped me to quickly find my feet in a new technological environment. From the very beginning, it was an open and helpful collaboration that enabled me to continue on EKRA's successful path and move the company forward together with the employees.
What role do you see for EKRA in the context of advanced technologies and new energy systems, particularly in relation to your statement "I work on products that help make the world a little better through advanced technologies and new energy systems"?
Markus: EKRA will play a leading role as a process provider and plant manufacturer in the field of new energy supply technologies and will focus in particular on the production of advanced technologies such as fuel cell, solar and battery technology. Our machines and systems will be used to design new energy generation systems and manufacture them on an industrial scale. This innovative production process enables the cost-effective manufacture of hydrogen systems, which facilitates the economical and sustainable production of 'green' energy. Our machines and systems therefore make an active contribution to efficient climate protection.
How do you plan to build on EKRA's successful development and at the same time provide new impetus for growth?
Markus: Our printing systems enable precise and fast coatings not only in the electronics industry, but also in emerging markets such as the aforementioned new energy sectors. Through intensive customer contacts, we have recognized that our expertise is not only in demand in the field of coating, but that our customers increasingly require process knowledge from us. EKRA can not only provide the process knowledge, but also machines and systems that are required in addition to the actual coating to manufacture successful products for our customers. The integration of these additional machines and systems will expand our product portfolio and thus contribute to the sustainable growth of EKRA.
Can you give us an insight into your long-term goals and visions for EKRA?
Markus: EKRA is becoming a comprehensive provider of sophisticated, sustainable and efficient coating technologies. We not only manufacture printers, but also offer our customers complete production lines for coating their components with our own process technology - Made by EKRA.
