Marquardt decides to use the S10 select again
In the S10 select, consumables such as solder paste or adhesives can be stored in a product-compliant and production-oriented manner. In order to meet product-specific requirements, it is possible to flexibly set temperatures between 4°C and 25°C. The material is issued in a resource-saving manner: the expiry date can be defined for the respective material in order to control the timely consumption.
"Five years ago at our headquarters in Rietheim-Weilheim, and again last year in Asia, we were faced with the challenge of standardizing our production and using the appropriate tools for this purpose. We focused on reducing manual intervention to a minimum. We want to eliminate sources of error. The S10 select was the ideal choice for us in terms of consumables management," explains Irene Orban, who works in electronics production at Marquardt.
A major argument for Marquardt's purchase decision was the goods issue via the FIFO principle (first in, first out). This effectively reduces rejects. Marquardt also mentioned password protection as a decisive advantage. Only selected employees can access the system, withdrawals become more traceable. The connection to the cross-production MES system enables controlled monitoring of all parameters of the consumables. "Thanks to the S10 select, we were able to improve quality in production and effectively avoid errors. We have gained more security and control in consumables management," says Irene Orban.
With an integrated label and RFID printer, the materials can be easily traced even after goods have been issued. It is also possible to connect the S10 select to autonomous transport robots so that the material can be distributed completely autonomously in the production. Thanks to the SIMPLEX user interface, the system can be handled intuitively.
